BOILER REPAIR

We know this is the most inconvenient time for a family when a boiler breaks and especially in the colder months.
But boilers do breakdown and sometimes it is unavoidable. 
Here at MDF Gas Services we only fit genuine parts, we will also get out to you as soon as possible to try and rectify the problem. If the engineer does not have a part on the van 95% of the time we can get the part the next morning so rest assured you will not be without heating and hot water for long.

GAS FIRES

A Gas Fire can make a great addition to any home whether it be for heating, visual or both. There are a range of different gas fires to choose from all having different qualities. Some fires are not able to fit into certain fireplaces and there are alot of regulations around gas fires all of this we can advise you on. Although fires are a great appliance they are also the most dangerous. It is critical that you have your fire serviced every year. CENTRAL HEATING SYSTEMS

The central heating system is the integral part of the house giving every room heat. From a thermostatic radiator valve to an in-direct cylinder we cover it all.Most of our call outs on central heating systems are radiators. These can form sludge and crack if the heating system isn't properly protected, they also need bleeding from time to time, if you find 1 radiator not heating when others are it is probably due to air. If that's not the case it could be a valve or the system needing to be balanced one of our engineers can sort this for you. 

GAS SAFETY CERTIFICATES

Gas Safety Inspections are incredibly important. This ensures like it says that a property is gas safe.It is a requirement by law that landlords must have a gas safety check every 12 months. 
Also we are seeing more and more the solicitors are asking for a valid gas safety inspection when buying and selling a property. 
In a gas safety all appliances are checked aswell as pipework, and the meter ensuring that the property is completely gas safe. 

EMERGENCY CALL OUTS 

We know this is a scary and frightening experience.First of all if you are in an emergency situation for a gas leak try and isolate the gas by turning it off at the meter. Ventilate the property and evacuate! If it is a water issue try and isolate the water by means of the stop cock, its always usefell to familiarise yourself with these 2 isolation valves. 
A burst pipe or cracks can be caused in pipework for many different reasons some preventable and some not. 
its essential if contacting us with an emergency situation you give us as much information as possible. If its not an emergency i.e not threatening to life or property please try and wait until morning when we will get out to you.
